Together We Spread The Light
Spread the Light illuminates London and Luton with vibrant Eid light displays that celebrate unity, diversity, and cultural pride, while fostering deeper understanding of Muslim traditions and engaging all communities.

LIGHT DISPLAYS
Spread the Light transforms central public spaces in London and Luton with a month-long Eid light display, inspired by the city’s iconic festive illuminations. The vibrant installations creates a welcoming atmosphere for all, offering residents and visitors the chance to experience the beauty of Eid through shared celebration, cultural pride, and community spirit.
COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS
As part of Spread the Light, schools and community groups take part in creative workshops designing and making lanterns. These handmade lanterns will then become part of the public Eid light displays and lantern parades, giving young people and residents a chance to contribute their creativity to the festivities and celebrate together.

CORPORATE WORKSHOPS
Spread the Light offers corporate workshops where teams come together to design and create lanterns that contribute to the public Eid light displays. These sessions provide a unique opportunity for team building while fostering cultural awareness, dialogue, and inclusivity—supporting organisations in their commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion through a shared creative experience.
Highlights of 2025
Spread the Light 2025 illuminated London and Luton with vibrant celebrations of Eid. We delivered a stunning light installation featured at Eid in the Square, the Mayor of London’s annual festival in Trafalgar Square, while Barnet also hosted a dazzling public display in the famous Heneley's Square. In Luton, a town centre display in the Hat Gardens was delivered in partnership with Luton BID. Community workshops at The Point Shopping Centre in Luton brought families together to create lanterns to enjoy at home, and a corporate workshop with Women’s Aid Luton provided staff with a creative, team-building experience. The project also proudly supported Tokko Youth Hub in decorating its hospitality space for its first Youth Iftar—bringing communities together through light, creativity, and shared celebration.
